Napa Valley is just 30 miles long and a few miles wide,
but is home to over 400 wineries.

We first visited Napa mid October and the valley was busy harvesting and crushing.  The entire valley had the smell of wine in the air.   We were staying at Vineyard RV Park in Vacaville at the time...

You can drive yourself or hire a limo to take you from winery to winery, but whatever you do, Grgich Winery is one stop that we particular...
Where do we go?

While you are staying at Vineyard RV Park in Vacaville, you may want to visit the birthplace of wine country, Sonoma, California. The town of Sonoma began with the building of Mission San Francisco Solano in 1823 by Father José Altimira of the Franciscan Order. This mission was the farthest north of all 21 California missions.  Soon after it was built, it was secularized by the Mexican government under the...

One of the things I really love at the Vineyard RV Park is all the beautiful flowers, trees and landscaping.  At Vineyard RV Park, they really have grape vines draped around the club house and they are laden with beautiful bunches of grapes this time of year.   The smell of Jasmine on the way to the laundry room makes even washing clothes a pleasant experience.
Watch the slide show and see what I'm talking about!

Pure Grain Bakery

Vacaville, CA 95688

We were told by the locals specifically about this bakery because of its really great sandwiches and terrific bread.  The bread is baked with low salt and preservative free.
Plus it's the closest place to Vineyard RV Park to grab a sandwich or treat!

The bakery is owned by childhood friends, Michael Miethe and Holger Seibert.  They graduated from th...

Our late luncheon, early dinner here will always be a fond memory.
We just happened upon this place...didn't know anything about it, but the menu looked
