We have not experienced any place in the world that has more beautiful championship courses than the area surrounding Laguna Seca RV Park. We have a special site set up just for golf on the Peninsula (Monterey Peninsula Golf Star) that not only lists and links to each course, but, gives you live updates on golf in general.  One of our favorite courses is in mid Carmel Valley called The Golf Course at Quail Lodge.  Quail is a private co...

Sushi By The Bay is my new favorite restaurant!

Hamilton and I have driven past this place a million times, but Friday night we decided to give it a try.  Unassuming on the outside, it is comfortable with lots of seating inside and a heated patio if you care to dine out doors.

Before you even order, you are brought a hot bowl of delicious miso soup.    Friday we both chose the dinner Bento Box Combination which gives you salad...
Stone Creek Village is a little shopping center of sorts.   More of a food and gas stop, but definitely handy while you are staying at Laguna Seca RV Park.     The space is tight, even at the gas station, so it may not be the best place to fill up when you' ve got your really big rig or 5th wheel.

You'll find Stone Creek Village on the corner of Highway 68 and Canyon Del Rey.   (Take a right when you...

The 17 Mile Drive is certainly something you should take while you are visiting the Monterey Peninsula.  There are five entrance gates, however the one easiest to access from the Laguna Seca RV Park, is the Highway 1 Gate located on the intersection of Highway 1 and Highway 68 going west.   (10-15 minute drive from the park)

(There's a slide show below of my favorite 17 Mile Drive photos)

There is a $9.50 fee to enter Pebble Beach.&...

A great place for a hike, a bike ride, to dive or watch birds is Point Lobos, located just off Highway 1 headed south toward Big Sur.    (see the video below)

SCUBA diving, snorkeling, kayaking, and stand-up paddle boarding reservations can be made for Point Lobos State Natural Reserve. Reservations can be made 60 days in advance or as little as one day in advance.

Laguna Seca RV Park is right in the middle of the Peninsula...as close to Salinas as it is Monterey and Carmel.  We have noticed that gas prices on the Peninsula can vary from one place to another as much as 50 cents per gallon! So, depending  on where you are going to be for the day you might check these links to prices like......

RVer's most often travel with their pets and most of the time their pets are dogs!   So many of you out there have huge hearts and their pet families grow.   For those of you who are looking for a new pet, or company for your current pet, or are just interested in rescuing an animal, the Monterey SPCA is right across Hwy 68 from Laguna Seca RV Park.

My daughter, Rose, is interested in adopting a small dog, so we t...
